MOE

Well, last night I was fortunate enough to catch Moe at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago.  And although it wasn't my favorite Moe show that I have seen, I still though it was worthwhile.  The "water" rendition was performed with brillianc and massive energy and probably pushed the show more towards the good side for me.
People always ask me what my favorite taste of music is.  I usually respond with "all types", because I legitimately like all types of music.  But it also means I dislike the same types of music.  I love a lot of Rap and Hip Hop and I can't stand a lot of rap and hip hop.  The same way that I love a lot of Rock and despise a bunch of rock.  Actually, if i could go back in time, one thing i would do is destroy Creed before they ever reached mainstream markets a couple years back.  If I could have done this, it would have saved a whole 3 years of "butt rock" that polluted the radio waves.  When I say "butt rock", I mean literally rock that sounds like Butt... I mean music was great until it became flooded with Creedesque bands like Nickelback, Godsmack, and whole slue of others...
I mean, it's a miracle that we survived the 1999-2001 years... Basically music pretty much sucked at that time.  We had boy bands and butt rock taking up a majority of the airwaves.  The creativeness just went out the window in music... Music at this time was like watching styrafoam dance... Weeeeee!!! go styrafoam, go styrafoam!!!
Enough of that... Some good stuff ended up coming out of the era because of the butt rockers... John Mayer sprung a whole generation of Singer Songwriters like me out there.  Here's where someone will say, "what are you talking about?".. let me explain, not saying that he influenced us, but just opened the market for people like us to gain exposure.   Oh and  I love the Linkin park sound, that is quality creativeness... Fresh... They were probably all sitting around one day being like, "hey, are you tired of all this butt rock?"... Uh Yeah, let's try to actually do something creative..."  Boom
