Most people today recovering from last night I can understand where you're coming from. No, I don't usually drink that much while I play, but last night was one of those times i just sort of let go a little bit and had a little fun. Why don't I drink? Hmmnn, well there have been times back in the old college days when I sort of forgot what i was doing while performing and the only explanation was alcohol. You see, I have to try to do 3 essential things at one time when performing. One, I must remember every single chord arrangement and order for the guitar portion of the song. Secondly, while playing the guitar I must remember the lyrics to that song, and we're talking anywhere from 100 to 200 words in a song to memorize, not skip verses, etc. Thirdly I have to make sure that everything I am singing and playing is in key and I'm not completely butchering the melody with my voice. So doing those 3 things all at once, while drinking a considerable amount of alcohol is not usually that good of a combo. That's why I need to write one of those Surgeon General warnings: Drinking will lessen your ability of playing guitar and singing.
Anyway, Hye Bar was packed completely at capacity last night. Thanks to all my friends and fans that came out and braved the line and crowd. I tried my best to get most of you past the line but they were so crowded last night i couldn't do much. I thought last night was a good time, and most other people have been feeling the same way, so I hope you all had fun....
